Neurodiversity
A significant part of my practice involves working with Autistic and ADHD adults, both therapeutically and through formal psychological assessment.
Many of the people I meet have spent years wondering why life has often felt more difficult than it seems for others. Some have developed anxiety, burnout or low self-esteem after years of masking, adapting or feeling misunderstood. Others are newly diagnosed and are beginning to make sense of experiences that stretch back to childhood.
Whether you are exploring the possibility of Autism or ADHD, have recently received a diagnosis, or have known about your neurodivergence for many years, therapy can provide an opportunity to understand yourself in a new way.
I work from a neuro-affirming perspective that recognises both strengths and challenges. Together we explore how your brain works, how your relationships and environment influence your wellbeing, and how you can build a life that fits you.
Alongside therapy, I conduct comprehensive Autism, ADHD and cognitive assessments for children and adults. My approach to assessment is thoughtful, collaborative and thorough, recognising that every assessment tells the story of a whole person rather than simply producing a diagnosis.
